As some of you know. I like to remember the greats when they pass as I've done here and here. I once drew a picture of Eudora Welty when she passed in 2001.
I don't feel too sad when these guys die. I feel a moment of remembrance for the incredible things they've done.
Well, John Updike died today. I first encountered Updike's writing in high school when I read A&P. You can read it here. It's a fun one that you may have encountered before.
Here's his obit, ironically enough, through another AP (the associated press).

Actually Jim, I think that would be considered coincidence...not irony. I would think a future doctor would know that...sheesh.
