music to mine ears!

What a beautiful week! Sigur Ros on Wednesday and Coldplay on Friday.

Seeing Sigur Ros, aside from a once in a lifetime show seeing as how they came all the way from Iceland to play and do few shows in the U.S., was probably the most relaxing couple hours of my life. I had been exhausted from traveling, working, and school, but sitting in a small old playhouse while Jonsi sang in his high falsetto working his electric guitar with a cello bow was intoxicating to say the least. The visuals were amazing; they played video in front of and behind the band. A girl played a saw, exacting each note perfectly, which I imagine would be like remembering the positions of a trombone. The entire audience sat still and watched in awe. Listen, if you don't currently fall to sleep listening to Sigur Ros, I highly recommend it. It will put your body in the most pleasant ease of all time. Plus, they have a new album, called Takk... coming out on Sept. 13. Check it out! Oh and they're way cool cause they handprinted their shirts, which they sold for a lot of money at the show. I didn't get one, but ask Matt to see his.

This website is great and lets you download music, video, pictures, and interviews with the guys. Check it: http://www.sigur-ros.co.uk/

And then....

Chris Martin dancing. Holy cow! That dude likes to have fun with the rockin tunes those Brits put out. Plus dancing with my dearest Lauren and singing "Yellow" into her mouth was one of the most romantic moments of my life. The two and a half hour, and 15 mile drive, was way worth it.
