so, in our fear we run from God's love. adam ate some fruit and hid, then covered himself. ask god to break into the shut up places in your heart. he wants to go there with you, to the basement of your heart, and be intimate there with YOU. it's crazy. when was the last time you got intimate with God and let him into your shadows to love you there? i feel like we're in the marriage to God and so often we grow cold and don't talk like an old married couple. like old people who come down for breakfast before work and grunt at each other. "coffee?" "yeah, thanks." is this love and intimacy? then, why do we resort to this with God, our true lover?
here's my challenge:
(i have done this before and it is awesome.)
go into your room and get naked. then get on the floor and expose your heart to god. tell him your desires, your fears, and talk out whatever is separating you from him today. it is amazing being naked before god. so intimate and humbling. try it. i promise i'm not crazy.

It seems like being nude for an extended amount of time would get chilly.
man... get this. so, today was like the first time in a LONG time i had (1) been up at 8 (2) stretched/ran (3) showered-in the morning and (4) journaled, prayed, talked with god.
sad i know but.. it was beautiful.
i wasn't naked, but i was ... "bare" before him. it was good. things are happening around us, i can tell.
nice. i'll have to give it a go sometime. definatly a whole new level of baring your heart to God
