So here's the story.
I had planned to stop by Lauren's to pick up half a sandwich, which I left over there the other night. We, poor kids, have to eat. Anywho, we were playing phone tag (one of my favorite things), when we finally got in touch. I was hemming and hawing about driving down for half a sandwich, despite the fact that I really enjoy chilling with Lauren and all. When, she asks me to propose a dance song for our friend's dance routine. Then, I start my bastardness . . . acting all bent out of shape that she would presuppose that I would listen to pop music and all, etc. She says she's sorry, etc. I say I am a little offended and her judgment of my identity or something like that. Etc. And I say that I'll talk with her later.
Later... I can't stop by because I'm chilling with my brother, watching a freaky, but interesting film called The Machinist. She feels like I'm upset and calls to apologize, and she's upset, I think. Weren't you upset, Lauren??? Anyway, all this goes to show that friends should just offer what pop music they do know for their friends. Not really. What is does show is that a little playing, and confusion between close friends, can quickly turn sour. And I hate that. I don't want to upset anyone, by being offended. I mean, why would I be offended by being called a pop music lover--do I treasure my indie rock sensibility that much??? Even more than my friends? Dude. What's wrong with me?
.Anyway. Lauren, I apologize for being kind of a jerk, or at least confusing . . . officially before all man(and women, you feminist)kind. You rock for being such a cool person.

You two kids are goofy. Both of you are very sensitive people, don't lie. I mean Jimmy you know that you listen to Britney Spears instead of reading a bed time story. You didn't think anyone knew but Lauren told me. She called you out on it and I understand why you got mad. That is embarassing. Lauren was so upset at you that she almost did a spell to turn you into a frog but I stopped her. I saw her flipping through the Book of Shadows. Don't worry Jimmy. I'm always looking out for you.
Britney Spears counts as pop??? Who knew??? I was way off base.
